Refund & Cancellation Policy

Last Updated: September 2026

This Refund & Cancellation Policy applies to products and services purchased from NMC Technology.

Because many of our projects involve customised system design, procurement and installation, refund and cancellation conditions may depend on the stage of the project.

1. Cancellation Before Procurement

Where a client cancels an order before NMC Technology has purchased or specially procured materials, a refund may be considered after deduction of any reasonable administrative, design or other costs already incurred.

2. Cancellation After Procurement

Where equipment or materials have already been purchased, imported, delivered or specially ordered for a client, cancellation may be subject to deductions for costs already incurred.

These may include:

  • Supplier charges
  • Logistics and transportation
  • Importation costs
  • Payment processing charges
  • Restocking charges
  • Equipment configuration
  • Engineering and design work
  • Other reasonable project-related expenses

3. Customised Equipment and Projects

Solar systems, inverter systems, battery systems, electrical installations and automation projects are often designed and procured specifically for individual clients.

Once customised equipment has been ordered or configured for a project, cancellation or refund may be limited depending on whether the equipment can reasonably be returned or resold.

4. Installation Services

Once installation work has commenced, charges for labour, transportation, engineering, installation and materials already used may not be refundable.

Where a project is cancelled after work has started, any applicable refund will be determined after deducting costs already incurred.

5. Client-Initiated Project Delays

If a client causes significant delays by failing to provide site access, required information, approvals or agreed payments, NMC Technology may suspend the project.

Additional costs resulting from prolonged delays, storage, transportation, remobilisation or changes in supplier pricing may be charged to the client.

6. Defective Products

Where a product is confirmed to have a manufacturing defect covered by the applicable manufacturer’s warranty, NMC Technology will assist the client with the applicable warranty process.

A defective product does not automatically entitle the client to a cash refund where repair or replacement is the appropriate remedy under the applicable warranty.

7. Incorrect or Changed Requirements

If the client changes the project requirements after procurement or installation has commenced, additional costs may apply.

This may include changes to:

  • Inverter capacity
  • Battery capacity
  • Solar panel quantity
  • Cable sizes
  • Protection devices
  • System configuration
  • CCTV camera quantity
  • Automation requirements
  • Installation location

8. Refund Processing

Where a refund has been approved, the refund will normally be processed using the original payment method where practical.

The processing time may depend on the payment method, financial institution and any applicable third-party payment provider.

9. Non-Refundable Costs

Where clearly identified in a quotation, proposal or agreement, certain professional, design, procurement, transportation or installation costs may be non-refundable once incurred.

10. How to Request a Cancellation or Refund

Clients should contact NMC Technology as soon as possible with:

  • Name
  • Invoice or project reference
  • Description of the request
  • Reason for cancellation or refund

Each request will be reviewed based on the project stage and applicable contractual terms.

11. Changes to This Policy

NMC Technology may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will be published on our website with the applicable update date.
