Warranty Policy
Last Updated: September 2026
NMC Technology is committed to providing quality products and professional installation services. This Warranty Policy explains the general warranty terms applicable to products and services supplied by NMC Technology.
1. Manufacturer Warranty
Where a product is covered by a manufacturer’s warranty, the warranty period and conditions shall be determined by the applicable manufacturer’s warranty.
This may include products such as:
- Solar panels
- Inverters
- Lithium batteries
- CCTV equipment
- Charge controllers
- Protection devices
- Automation equipment
- Other electrical and electronic equipment
Manufacturer warranties may differ from one product to another.
2. Installation Workmanship
Where NMC Technology provides a workmanship warranty, it covers defects directly attributable to our installation work during the applicable workmanship warranty period stated on the quotation, invoice or project agreement.
The workmanship warranty does not automatically cover equipment supplied by third-party manufacturers.
3. Warranty Claims
To make a warranty claim, the client should contact NMC Technology and provide:
- Client name
- Project or invoice details
- Description of the problem
- Photographs or videos where appropriate
- Relevant equipment information
NMC Technology may inspect the system before determining whether the issue falls within the applicable warranty.
4. Warranty Exclusions
Warranty coverage may not apply where damage or failure results from:
- Lightning or electrical surges
- Flooding or water damage
- Fire
- Physical damage
- Theft or vandalism
- Improper use
- Overloading
- Unauthorised modifications
- Unauthorised repairs
- Tampering
- Incorrect operation
- Poor maintenance
- Failure to follow operating instructions
- Damage caused by third-party installations or modifications
- Unusual environmental conditions
- Events outside NMC Technology’s reasonable control
5. Battery Warranty
Lithium batteries naturally experience capacity degradation over their operating life.
Battery warranty claims are subject to the manufacturer’s warranty terms, including any specified cycle count, depth-of-discharge limits, temperature requirements and operating conditions.
Normal battery degradation does not necessarily constitute a warranty defect.
6. Solar Panel Warranty
Solar panels may have separate product and performance warranties provided by the manufacturer.
Warranty claims are subject to the manufacturer’s terms and applicable installation conditions.
7. Inverter Warranty
Inverter warranty coverage is subject to the manufacturer’s warranty conditions.
Damage resulting from incorrect installation, improper configuration, overloading, surge events, unauthorised modification or unsuitable operating conditions may not be covered.
8. Third-Party Repairs
Unauthorised repairs or modifications may invalidate applicable warranties.
Clients should contact NMC Technology before engaging another technician to modify or repair equipment installed by us where warranty coverage may be affected.
9. Warranty Resolution
Where a valid warranty claim is established, the remedy may include inspection, repair, replacement of a defective component, replacement of equipment, or another remedy permitted under the applicable manufacturer’s or NMC Technology’s warranty terms.
The specific remedy will depend on the nature of the fault and applicable warranty conditions.
10. Warranty Transfer
Unless otherwise stated, warranties are provided to the original client and may not automatically transfer to a subsequent property owner or third party.
11. Warranty Documents
Where applicable, clients may receive product warranty documentation, invoices, serial numbers or other relevant records.
Clients should retain these documents for future warranty claims.
